Consumption: During activity we are advised that most people will metabolise a maximum of 250-400 calories per hour, one mini flapjack per hour could replace a sports gel , hopefully it will be easier to consume and better tasting, making it the perfect bar for training & competing hard.
Everyone trains differently and for important events we recommend you practice your nutrition strategy every bit as much as you practice your sport.
For a trail marathon, a flapjack top up 30 minutes before the start, and a couple slipped into your back pocket might be all the boost you need.
If you are going for a run after work you might eat a flapjack in the late afternoon before you go training.

The range has really improved and the minis are fabulous for putting in your pack for long training runs or trail runs and ultras. I also have the chocalate/orange protein bars which are delicious and full of protein. I am thrilled that Chia now have a gluten free range as I have recently been diagnosed as intolerant and it means that I can continue enjoying the bars!
Only recently bought the protein crispies so can't comment yet but are great in my porridge!
