Mini Flapjack - balanced carb supply - like a Gel, easy to carry size, but tastes great and made with Real Food. Following overwhelming demand to put this product on sale here it is.
Our high calorie yet balanced recipe enables a fast energy boost to be backed up with slower burn carbs, so there is no post gel crash in energy, you just keep moving forward with real food.
You can see from the nutritional profile that there are fast acting carbohydrates and more complex carbohydrates that will sustain your energy levels after the initial benefits of the simple sugars wear off. With nearly 5g of protein and Omega 3 and 6s to aid recovery, this bar should give you plenty of feel good factor. This contains half the sea salt flakes of the original Chia Charge Flapjack, so will also help electrolyte replacement.
Varieties

Banana - Using dried diced bananas, using 50% of sea slat flakes used in the Original
Berry -Using Cranberries and Dates to completely replace any refined sugars
Consumption: During activity we are advised that most people will metabolise a maximum of 300-400 calories per hour, one mini flapjack per hour could replace a sports gel , hopefully it will be easier to consume and better tasting, making it the perfect bar for training & competing hard.
Everyone trains differently and for important events we recommend you practice your nutrition strategy every bit as much as you practice your sport.
For a trail marathon, a mini flapjack top up 30 minutes before the start, and a couple slipped into your back pocket might be all the boost you need.
If you are going for a run after work you might eat a mini flapjack in the late afternoon before you go training.
