We have created the perfect formulation for fuel that is delicious and easy to eat on the go. This recipe contains only wholesome ingredients that you would find in your kitchen cupboard.
Consumption: During activity we are advised that most people will metabolise 300-400 calories per hour, so one flapjack per hour could replace 3 or 4 sports gels.
Everyone trains differently and for important events we recommend you practice your nutrition strategy every bit as much as you practice your sport.
For a trail marathon, we might eat a flapjack 90 to 30 minutes before the start. If you are going for a run after work you might eat a flapjack in the late afternoon before you go training.
Storage Instructions: Store flapjack in a cool dry place.

My bars arrived a few days ago and i tried the flapjack with sea salt flakes before my 20 mile marathon training run Sunday. I broke some up onto my porridge before my run which was delicious and the remaining I took on my run to keep me fuelled. Great taste and completed my run. These flapjacks have replaced gels for my rides out. They are very tasty, surprisingly easy to eat (even mid ride) and totally hit the spot. They are an excellent post swim/bike/run snack and very easy on the stomach.

This weekend I ran the Downslink Ultra. A 38 mile point to point ultra marathon from Guildford to Shoreham-by-Sea. This was to be my second and longest ultra. I chose the Chia Charge flapjack with sea salt flakes to pack as my part of my race nutrition. I ate half before and the rest during the first half of the race. It was so delicious and easy to eat on the move. I felt sated and strong (even managed a smile for the race photographer!). I will be using these flapjacks as part of the essential fuel I need for future marathons. I cannot reccomend them highly enough!

After writing a bad review following trying one of your flapjacks, I have to give credit where it's due and admit I may have been a little hasty. My review was based on just trying one of your products but now, having tried a few more recently, I can say that they are in fact very tasty and I would buy them again. In particular the cranberry flapjack is delicious. I enjoyed one of the small ones during a long walk with my pooch and it gave me plenty of energy to get to the end. I attend the gym regularly and have a very high energy job so will definitely be using these bars more often.

After ordering a selection of Chia Charge goodies, which may I add cost quite a few bob, I finally tried one out at work yesterday and am disappointed to be writing such a bad review as I had such high hopes for the product. I chose to try the Salted Flake Flapjack and all I can say is its like eating a lump of VERY sweet fat, held together with a dissappointing amount of oats with lots of crunchy bits that give it a really unpleasant texture.
Perhaps I should have done my homework better and checked out the ingredients before I bought them as butter and sugar are the first listed and are obviously in huge amounts. They aren't even what I would class as the better types of fats and sugars.
I just hope the Protein bars fair better as I have a whole boxfull! Otherwise I've completely wasted my money.
Speaking of which, before making my order the website gave me a 10% discount code to use, which I applied at the checkout and was still charged full price!
After my order went through I was contacted on Facebook Messenger thanking me for my order and asking my to reply to the message if I had any questions. So I questioned not getting the 10% discount and never received a reply. So unpleasant products (so far) and shoddy customer service.

Discovered Chia charge at the bike show and now me and my friend regularly share orders. My daughters are keen competitive swimmers and we are always looking for healthier poolside snacks without nuts in. My 11 year old adores the berry flapjacks and claims they give her 'extra power when I do 'fly'. My 9 year old loves the banana ones as they are sweeter. We like the mini bars best but the bigger bars I chop in two so they are a good size for the girls. Me? The salt ones hit the spot and keep me going instead of resorting to chocolate. Perfect for our sporty family! And they can take them to school as there are no nuts in them.

You asked for a photo in your last mailer - here's one from last weekend, running the Ambleside to Coniston 16 mile leg of the Lakeland 50 route.
As you can see the route was a bit damp due to heavy rain and meltwater flooding, particularly in the lower-lying areas, so I ended up carrying my short-yet-4-legged mate Bobby through the deeper bits....he enjoyed his share of one of the bars too :-)
